Voilà je vais vous présenter aujourd’hui Licia, parce que c’est un autre coup de cœur que j’ai connu sur My Major Company, et puis parce que je lui ai promis un article

Elle s’appelle Licia, elle chante, écrit et compose des chansons en anglais, français et créole. Son style est clairement inspiré par la soul black et par des chanteuses comme Tracy Chapman et Norah Jones.

Licia est née le 1^er juin 1985 à Genève. Sa culture haïtienne a beaucoup influencé la composition de son album prévu pour 2010.

Licia Chery souhaite conquérir un public plus large, partager ses émotions, sa musique, et toucher aussi profondément qu’elle le peut avec des paroles sincères tant dans les sujets très sérieux que dans les plus légers.

When I was small, very small, I fell in the pot of folk song. And I drank everything. The bitter soft songs of Teri Moïse, the stamp of voice(vote) if private individual of Tracy Chapman, the universe colored with Peter Cincotti… The music gained(won) me without that I notice it. I composed my first song from the age of 5 years, that seemed to me quite natural, so natural as to have ropes of guitar or keys(touches) of piano at the end of fingers. That did not really change in time. Today I am 18 years old, my tub(ferry,high school diploma) in pocket, hundred of songs in my asset(active person) and a single profession in the lead(in mind): “author-compositeur-interprète”.
